City breaks, couples, first time in Transylvania

A long weekend is enough to taste the heart of Transylvania. Three medieval towns — Brașov, Sighișoara and Sibiu — plus the country's most famous castle, Bran, in a tight, logical loop. It's the perfect route for anyone short on time who still wants castles, citadels and fairy-tale squares.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be done without a car?+

Brașov–Sighișoara–Sibiu are linked by train, but Bran and the Saxon villages need a car or an organised tour. A car is still the best option.
