Parcul Central Slănic-Moldova

The Central Park of Slănic-Moldova is the green heart of one of the oldest spa resorts in Moldavia, developed from the nineteenth century around the mineral springs discovered in the valley of the Slănic River. Laid out in the style of a spa park, with shaded avenues, pavilions, and promenade areas, it was designed for the quiet walks of guests who came for treatment. Around it and along the valley stand the pump rooms with springs, where one can taste the mineral waters famous for their effects on digestive and other ailments, waters that brought the resort renown as far back as the Belle Époque.

The forested mountain scenery, clean air, and microclimate make this a place of rest. Visitors can combine a stroll through the park with hikes on the trails of the surrounding mountains. It is advisable to check locally the schedule of the pump rooms and treatment facilities.
