Parcul Rozelor

Rose Park is Timișoara green jewel and one of the symbols of the city known as the city of flowers. Laid out in the early 20th century, the park was conceived as a rose garden, with thousands of bushes of dozens of varieties that bloom from spring to late autumn and scent the whole area. Over time it was extended and redesigned, with paths, pergolas, fountains and performance spaces, becoming host to open-air events and festivals. Its position on the bank of the Bega, near the central area and the canal boat route, makes it a very pleasant place to stroll and a meeting point for locals.

In the flowering season the park is spectacular, and in the evening the lighting creates a romantic atmosphere. It is a natural stop on a city tour, easily combined with the nearby baroque squares. It looks its best in the warm months, when the roses are in full bloom.
