Olimp is the first of the coast's famous southern resorts — a string of small satellite resorts of Mangalia, once known as the resorts named after gods and planets. Modern and well laid out, with terraced hotels descending to the beach, Olimp was designed back in the 1970s as a luxury resort of its time.
The beach is wide and serviced, with sunbeds and bars, and the promenade links Olimp to its neighbour Neptun by a pleasant seaside walk. The resort has a select air, with renovated hotels and a clientele after comfort and relative quiet.
