Crama Murfatlar

Murfatlar is one of Romania's best-known wine brands and the heart of the country's sunniest wine region, between the Danube and the Black Sea. Dobruja's generous sun and sea breezes ripen rich grapes, giving opulent wines and above all the perfumed sweet ones — Tămâioasă Românească and Muscat Ottonel — that made the region's name. The range runs from everyday wines to premium selections, dry and off-dry, white and red.

The winery, on the road between the motorway and the coast, welcomes visitors for tastings and tours, and is the natural stop en route to Constanța and the Black Sea beaches. It's a pleasant wine interlude before the sand, with a wine that carries the name of the place across the whole country.
