Casa Memorială Lucian Blaga Lancrăm

The Lucian Blaga Memorial House in Lancram, a village near Alba Iulia, is the birthplace of the great Romanian poet and philosopher, one of the leading figures of the national culture. The peasant house in which Blaga was born has been turned into a memorial museum and preserves objects, photographs, manuscripts and testimonies tied to the life and work of the writer. A visit offers an insight into the Transylvanian rural world that shaped his sensibility and poetic language, marked by themes of the village, mystery and spirituality.
Not far away lies the grave of the poet, who wished to rest in the native village evoked in his verse. Lancram thus becomes a place of cultural pilgrimage for lovers of literature. The museum naturally complements a visit to Alba Iulia; checking the schedule before arriving is recommended.
